We’re Shilpa and VJ — creative partners, dreamers, and the duo behind The Art Party.
This little dream of ours began with a simple idea: what if we could create a space where people could come together, slow down, and experience the joy of making art in a way that feels relaxed, fun, and deeply fulfilling?
With every event we plan, whether it’s an art party, a cozy workshop, or a soulful retreat, we show up as a team. We balance each other’s strengths, support each other’s ideas, and pour our hearts equally into every detail. And that’s what makes this journey so special.
We believe that everyone is creative, sometimes you just need the right environment to remember it. That’s what we aim to offer: a space where you can be yourself, try something new, and leave not only with a piece of art, but with a full, happy heart.

About Shilpa
Meet Shilpa – Artist, Art Educator, Entrepreneur and Creative Soul
Shilpa is a full time painting artist and a teacher at heart, someone who truly believes in the quiet magic of creativity to bring us closer to ourselves and to each other. For her, art has always been more than just paint on canvas; it’s been a companion through every season of life, a place where she’s felt most alive, most grounded, and most free.
With over 15 years of experience, Shilpa has guided countless people through her online and in-person workshops, and if there’s one thing she’s come to cherish deeply, it’s how beautifully art connects people. Whether it's a shared laugh during an art party, a moment of quiet focus in a retreat, or the joy of watching someone surprise themselves with what they create, she’s seen again and again how creativity builds bridges between hearts.
She doesn’t believe you need to be “good” at art to enjoy it. In fact, she gently reminds everyone that creativity isn’t about perfection, it’s about feeling something real, something joyful, within yourself. That’s the experience she hopes to offer to everyone who joins her, a safe, relaxed, and welcoming space where you can just be you.
Shilpa is known for her easygoing nature, her patience, and her deep love for what she does. She’s there not to instruct, but to encourage, to guide gently and cheer you on every step of the way. Her greatest joy is seeing someone light up with pride at their own creation.
Every time someone picks up a brush with her, Shilpa feels honoured. To her, painting together is more than just a class, it’s a moment of connection, of joy, and of being fully present.

Meet VJ – Co-Founder of TheArtParty.ca | Tech Sales Girlie by Day, Vibe Creator by Heart
By day, VJ is a passionate and driven tech sales professional with over 8 years of experience in building connections and helping people find exactly what they need. She thrives in the fast-paced world of sales ,where conversations are meaningful, relationships matter, and every connection has the potential to create something powerful.
But beyond the 9–5, VJ has always carried a deeper dream in her heart, to create something soul-led, intentional, and rooted in community. That dream blossomed into ArtfulEscapes.ca, a space where creativity and connection come together in the most beautiful ways.
VJ is the kind of person who brings energy and intention into every space she touches. Whether it's finding the perfect venue, curating just the right vibe, or adding thoughtful touches that make people feel truly seen, she has a gift for making others feel like they belong. Her eye for aesthetics and her intuitive sense of flow are part of what makes The Art Party so special.
In 2019, VJ began her own journey inward and became a certified Pranic Healer. That experience deepened her desire to hold space for others, to create gatherings where people can breathe, let go, and reconnect with themselves. That healing intention is woven into every event she helps bring to life.
At her core, VJ is a community builder, a space-holder, and a creative soul who believes in the power of togetherness. She’s not just organizing events, she’s creating environments where people can feel calm, inspired, and lifted by something bigger than themselves.
